The Surf Boats are a huge part of our local Surf Life Saving Club. My Dad used to tell great stories of rowing in our local bay and down the coast for competitions. The races, the huge seas- the look on the sweeps face when he could see what was coming but the rowers couldn't! Its not for the faint hearted- and personally Im quite happy witnessing the ocean from the water level than in one of those wooden beasts!
