I have memories of these bright bold flowers growing in my Gandparents garden. My love for them started there and often think of that flower patch and them- whenever I spy a Marigold.
Marigolds are often linked to the powerful strength of the sun. They also represent the light that lives inside of a person.  So very appropriate for this family inspired tale.
